Featured Sites: Text and Academic Authors Association (TAA) is the only nonprofit membership association devoted solely to assisting textbook and academic authors. TAA membership is open to all creators of academic intellectual property, including textbooks, articles for academic journals and other academic writing, software, videos, monographs, reference books, and multimedia CD-ROM disks, as well as editors and publishers. Their website is www.TAAonline.net Acappela Publishing specializes in being a one-stop shop for self-publishers, offering critiques, editing and book doctoring, publishing and marketing. Their staff includes prize-winning book designers (to make sure the book will be acceptable to distributors and major book stores) as well as a professional staff of writers, editors and marketers. Their website is www.acappela.com. The Internet Writing Workshop is a set of mailing lists (groups) that communicate in English by email. It is a community where writers can submit and critique written works, a forum to discuss and get help on all aspects of writing. and a public-service educational organization, staffed by volunteers and free of charge.
