POSTAL MAIL QUERIES

Get Files for Your Mailing Within a Day of Your Order

All Ready to Print and Mail

Our postal submission service saves you time and energy by creating your letters and envelopes or labels, so they are ready for you to print out and mail.  They can be set up on your own letterhead or so you can print them on your own stationery.  You receive a Word file for your letters and another for your envelopes or labels all ready to go.  Then you select which ones to print and mail.

Just e-mail us a copy of your letter in a word or text attachment.  Use our templates or guidelines to help you or write your own letter.  Or use our query writer service and we'll create a powerful letter for you.

Once your letter is finished, we insert the date, recipient's name, title, company, address, and appropriate salutation at the top of each letter. Use your own letterhead or we can design a professional letterhead for you. For example:

Ms. Ann Williams, Editor
Great Books
1111 Fifth Avenue
New York, NY 10011

Dear Ms. Williams:

Since your company is interested in books on controversial topics, I wanted to let you know about my battle for justice against an out of control prosecutor.  It's called: CORRUPTION AT THE TOP: MY BATTLE FOR JUSTICE.

ETC.

Sincerely,

John Jones

If you want to use one of our standard query letter forms for different types of projects (nonfiction, fiction, children's books, articles, or columns), simply fill in details about your project where indicated. These templates are included at no extra charge. Once you fill out an order form and send your payment, we'll give you a password to access these templates on our Web site. These are tested letters with proven results by numerous writers.

Or if you write your own query letter, ideally keep it short, powerful, and to the point.  You can use our guidelines for writing a short, effective letter.

A good approach is to include a 1-3 page overview or synopsis of your book, article, or column along with your cover letter.  Use one of our guides for how to do this.  Many of our clients have successfully used this approach to find an agent or publisher.

Once your letter and any accompanying information is ready, we'll create a file with as many letters and envelopes or labels as match the criteria for your project.  Then, you can print these letters out on your own stationery and mail as many you want to the selected agents, editors, and/or syndicates seeking your type of project.
